The Stocking Works, formerly known as the Newtown Hosiery Mill, is a historic factory built in 1889. As the name implies, the factory originally made stockings, but was eventually reworked to make aircraft components. The factory even produced parts that were used on the Apollo space missions.
More recently, the factory has been repurposed as office space. It is included on the National Historic Register, as well as the State of Pennsylvania Historic Register. It’s also a stop on the Newtown Heritage Walk. We are proud to work in this important part of history.
